Daily Jigsaw respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. Community puzzles are uploaded by users who attest they own or have the rights to the images. If you believe content on Daily Jigsaw infringes your copyright, you can ask us to remove it using the process below.

Designated copyright agent

Send copyright notices to our designated agent: copyright@jigsaw.game. (A designated agent is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office; the agent's registered contact details are kept current there and here.)

Filing a takedown notice

To be valid under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include all of the following:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  2. Identification of the infringing material and enough information for us to locate it (e.g. the puzzle URL).
  3. Your contact information (name, address, phone, email).
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

On receipt of a compliant notice we will expeditiously remove or disable access to the material.

Counter-notice

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the agent above including: identification of the removed material and its prior location; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake; your name, address, and phone number; consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district; and your signature.

Repeat-infringer policy

We will, in appropriate circumstances, disable and/or terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. Uploading images you do not have the rights to is a violation of our Terms of Service.
